The charming Messalina promises to give her virginity to the historian Claudius if he introduces her to the Emperor Caligula. After the murder of Caligula, ironically, Claudius becomes emperor, and Messalina becomes his wife. Immersed in state concerns, Claudius does not devote time to Messalina at all. The Empress has no choice but to look for love joys on the side: in the arms of legionnaires, commoners and even slaves.
